The Economic and Management Sciences Master (MCEE)

The Master’s program in Economics and Management (MCEE) is intended for holders of a degree or legal equivalent, in management and economics and related areas, who aim to acquire or expand their skills in management or economics.

The MCEE has duration of a two year period. The first year relates to the academic component, which comprises eight courses organized into four areas of specialization: Marketing, Finance, Human Resources and Economics and Public Policy.

Students choose one area of specialization and complete four of the five courses of expertise, conduct a mandatory subject of Quantitative Methods and three electives, chosen from among the list of courses offered in all specialized areas of the Masters. As electives it may be chosen even other courses offered at other Masters Programs from the University of the Azores which have an equivalent level of credit.

The completion of the first year allows obtaining a diploma of Specialized Studies in the area of specialization. In the second year, the completion of the dissertation allows the degree of Master in Economics and Business.
