Objectives
The Master in Economics and Management (MCEE) has as main objectives:
- Attain key knowledge to develop, with high technical competence, a career in business or in public and/or private organizations;
- Develop skills in specific areas like Marketing, Finance, Human Resources and Economics and Public Policy;
- Develop working methods and decision-making applied to solving problems and projects related to Economics and Management;
- Develop qualities of accuracy, critical thinking and reasoning, analyzing phenomena related to Economics and Management;
- Develop the ability to organize teams in a constructive way, develop critical analysis and self-learning; and
- Build the capacity for establishing social relationships in the workplace, or with the general public.
Career
Considering the areas of specialization, career opportunities for holders of the Masters Degree in Economics and Business are, among others:
- General Management:
- General Manager, director or manager of a division or functional area.
- Marketing:
- Marketing manager, account manager, product manager and marketing consultant.
- Finance:
- CFO, auditor, project analyst, financial or cost accounting technician.
- Human Resources:
- Human resources director and human resources consultant.
- Economics and Public Policy:
- Macroeconomic and microeconomic studies or project development, delineation and evaluation of public policies that impact on the economy.
